Usually the stories we tell involve people or great places. But what about those temporary, delicate things that will wash away as time erodes them? What about those fragile things that are so human and connect us so deeply? How do we construction narratives of the past? How do we evaluate the importance of objects and places?
I tried to answer those questions through this series by photographing objects that could hold immense meaning; or not. By highlighting these short-lived and easily overlooked objects and places, I want to extend to the viewer what stories do they think these things have? What do they mean?
This series had a different name in development, but I changed because I found themes of fragmentation, being interwoven with the natural world, and assembling stories from an individual point.
